So many CAMP programs and services are thriving because of the dedication of our volunteers. If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, we have several ongoing needs with event planning, clerical work, and facility maintenance. Whether you want to volunteer as an individual, group, or to fulfill education credits or community service, we would love to hear from you.
Upcoming volunteer opportunities:
CAMP is recruiting for tax preparation volunteers for the 2012 tax season! We are looking for individuals who want to help community taxpayers prepare and e-file their own taxes at CAMP through the Free Assisted Tax Preparation (FAST), a VITA/TCE program, and can dedicate a minimum of 20 hours over the next four months to providing this essential service. Training is provided, so if you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please read more! Program Volunteers
Food Bank: Our Food Bank is open three days a week at the CAMP office and two days a week for home deliveries. Food Bank volunteers help to receive and sort delivery shipments, organize items, and register and assist clients.
Group Volunteers
Many groups have generously volunteered at CAMP over the years. If you are looking for a project to take on for your group or family, please contact us to make arrangements.
Seattle University Success Story
We are very thankful to a group of students from Seattle
University who made a positive impact with their facility improvement project for our Food Bank. Through the course of the project, they evaluated the operations and efficiency of the Food Bank and made improvements in the following areas:
- Improving traffic flow of clients while the Food Bank is open
- Helping staff to efficiently register clients
- Computer tracking of received donations as well as food that is given to clients
We provide document verification for any community service hours served.
