CAMP’s Financial Literacy Program works to stabilize, educate, and reduce debt for our clients.
Stabilization: CAMP helps individuals in current financial crisis by providing immediate and relevant counseling, budgeting advice, and connections with agencies specializing in bankruptcy, eviction and collections.
Education: CAMP provides basic and in-depth information on personal finances to help clients gain self-sufficiency and stretch their dollars further. Program offerings include:
- Group presentations on the basics of banking, credit and budgeting
- In-depth seminars on banking, credit, budgeting, income and money management
- One-on one appointments with clients to help build a budget that is right for them

Free Tax Preparation: Get information to find out how you can receive free tax preparation services through April 17, 2011. Our general schedule for tax preparation services is Tuesdays from 3-7pm, Thursdays from 11am-3pm and select Saturdays (January 28, February 11, March 10 and April 14) from 9am-1pm.
Internet Payday Lender Alert: When seeking short-term personal loans through companies like payday lenders, consumers should be cautious about Internet payday lenders that are not licensed properly. Be careful when filling out these applications, read the fine print, and make sure the company is licensed to make loans in the state of Washington.
